Alto Professional TMD16 16-Channel Compact Digital Mixer
The Alto Professional TMD16 combines the flexibility and processing power of a digital mixing console with the immediate, hands-on operation of a traditional mixer. Designed for live sound, rehearsal spaces, venues, houses of worship and portable production, it offers a 16-in / 12-out digital mixing architecture in a compact and rugged format.
Hands-On Digital Mixing
Rather than relying on deep touchscreen menus, the TMD16 provides physical controls for the functions you need most. Its 7-inch colour display works alongside 10 dedicated push-button encoders, backlit function buttons and 100mm capacitive touch faders with LED indicators, making it easy to see and adjust your mix quickly.
The mixer can also save and recall scenes, making it particularly useful for venues, churches and recurring events where reliable, repeatable setups are important. Alto provides nine user preset locations in addition to the factory preset.
Built-In Processing and Effects
Each input channel includes a 3-band parametric EQ and compressor, while the outputs provide 7-band graphic EQ plus compressor/limiting. An integrated effects engine supplies 16 reverbs, delays, choruses and related effects without requiring external processing equipment.
Flexible Connectivity
The TMD16 provides 10 digital microphone preamps along with stereo line inputs and comprehensive output routing for live sound systems. Main outputs are on XLR, with dedicated subgroup, auxiliary and effects outputs for monitors, zones and external equipment.
Integrated Bluetooth allows wireless audio playback and communication with the Alto Pro Mix Control App for iOS and Android, enabling remote access to channel levels, mutes, meters and saved presets.
USB Recording and Streaming
The TMD16 also functions as a 2-in / 2-out stereo USB audio interface at 24-bit / 48kHz, making it suitable for stereo recording, playback and livestreaming from a Mac or PC.
Important: I would explicitly keep the wording 2×2 USB audio interface rather than saying “multitrack recording”. Alto confirms that the TMD16 does not provide multitrack USB output — it’s two channels in and two channels out.
