The Ortofon OM PRO S Entry-level Cartridge is an entry-level cartridge designed for newcomers entering the DJ scene. Therefore, it offers dependable performance without requiring expensive equipment. The Pro S uses a spherical diamond stylus with an 18 μm tip radius. This design helps minimise scratching during regular vinyl playback and DJ use. Furthermore, its solid aluminium cantilever can handle hectic activity around the turntable. This construction provides a practical solution for DJs developing their vinyl performance skills. The cartridge delivers a 5 mV output at 1 kHz and 5 cm/sec. Additionally, it achieves 70 μm tracking ability at 315 Hz for consistent groove tracking. With 20 dB channel separation, the OM PRO S maintains clear distinction between the stereo channels. Its 2 dB channel balance further supports consistent playback across both channels. The cartridge features 7 μm/mN dynamic lateral compliance and a 20° tracking angle. Meanwhile, Ortofon recommends a 4 g tracking force for the OM PRO S. The 3–5 g tracking range provides flexibility when setting up compatible turntables. Furthermore, the 47 kOhm recommended load resistance supports the specified electrical configuration. The Ortofon OM PRO S Entry-level Cartridge uses 750 Ohm internal impedance and 450 mH internal inductance. It also supports a recommended load capacitance between 200 and 600 pF. Weighing 5 g, the cartridge suits a wide range of DJ applications. Moreover, its versatile design makes it suitable for virtually any setting and music style. Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.
We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)
If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:
- Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
- Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
- Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.
