The Ortofon OM SCRATCH ON SH4 Blue Headshell Scratch White Premounted combines a high-output cartridge with the blue SH-4 headshell. This practical configuration simplifies mounting and replacement on compatible S-shaped tonearms. Therefore, DJs can spend less time preparing equipment and more time focusing on performance. The spherical stylus uses an 18 μm tip radius for reliable groove contact during demanding DJ use. Its reinforced rubber suspension supports increased tracking performance when DJs apply stronger tracking forces. As a result, the cartridge suits scratching and back-cueing applications where stable groove tracking matters. Furthermore, the cartridge delivers a 7 mV output voltage at 1 kHz and 5 cm/sec. This high output helps provide a strong signal for suitable phono stages and DJ mixers. The cartridge also provides 25 dB channel separation at 1 kHz for clear stereo channel distinction. The premounted design also supports convenient installation through its universal mount configuration. Ortofon specifies correct Baerwald alignment with the major part of universal-mount tonearms. Consequently, the premounted setup can simplify positioning for compatible S-shaped tonearm systems. The cartridge operates across a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response with specified deviation. Its recommended tracking force is 4.0 g, while the usable range spans 3.0 to 5.0 g. Meanwhile, the 20° tracking angle supports the specified cartridge setup. The blue SH-4 headshell adds a ready-to-mount format for DJs using compatible tonearms. The complete cartridge and headshell assembly weighs 18.5 g, supporting straightforward replacement. Additionally, the Stylus MFS provides a specified replacement option for continued use. Overall, the Ortofon OM SCRATCH ON SH4 Blue Headshell Scratch White Premounted combines convenient installation, high output, and strong tracking performance. It provides a practical solution for DJs who regularly work with vinyl and scratching techniques.

Delivery Exclusions

PLEASE NOTE:

Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.

We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)

If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:

Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.

Please be assured that we only request an additional freight contribution in exceptional circumstances where the courier cost is substantially higher than normal. Our goal is always to deliver your order at the advertised price whenever possible.

If you’re unsure whether an item may be affected, you’re welcome to contact us before placing your order and we’ll gladly provide a delivery estimate.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support!
