The Ortofon STYLUS COCOON STD Replacement stylus delivers a dependable replacement for the Ortofon-Cocoon club cartridge. It preserves the cartridge’s distinctive performance while supporting demanding DJ use. Moreover, its special elliptical stylus handles heavy back-cueing during energetic sets. This design helps DJs maintain confident control when cueing tracks repeatedly. The Cocoon cartridge emerged through Ortofon’s collaboration with the renowned club brand Cocoon. The limited Twin Set launched at the Frankfurt Music Trade Show in 2013. Only 500 units formed this special edition, giving the cartridge a distinctive place in DJ history. Consequently, the replacement stylus continues that focused club-oriented design. The Stylus Cocoon produces an output voltage of 8 mV at 1 kHz and 5cm/sec. Therefore, it can deliver a strong signal to compatible mixers or preamplifiers. Its 23 dB channel separation also supports clear stereo reproduction across your records. Furthermore, the 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response maintains broad musical coverage with a +/-1.5 dB response. The special elliptical profile supports accurate record tracking while accommodating the demands of club performance. Its tracking ability reaches 80 μm at 315 Hz under the specified conditions. Additionally, the 7 μm/mN dynamic lateral compliance supports the cartridge’s tracking characteristics. The recommended tracking force remains at 3.0 g, while the usable range spans 2.0–5.0 g. As a genuine Ortofon replacement stylus, the Ortofon STYLUS COCOON STD Replacement stylus helps restore the intended performance of the Cocoon cartridge. Therefore, DJs can continue using their existing cartridge without replacing the complete unit. Its focused specifications make it suitable for users who value strong output, reliable tracking, and club-ready handling. For maintenance, replacing the stylus helps keep playback consistent and supports performance during DJ sessions.

Delivery Exclusions

PLEASE NOTE:

Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.

We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)

If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:

Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.

Please be assured that we only request an additional freight contribution in exceptional circumstances where the courier cost is substantially higher than normal. Our goal is always to deliver your order at the advertised price whenever possible.

If you’re unsure whether an item may be affected, you’re welcome to contact us before placing your order and we’ll gladly provide a delivery estimate.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support!
