The Warm Audio WA-MPX is a single-channel tube microphone preamp inspired by the legendary 351-style circuits from the golden era of tape recording. It is designed to move from clean, high-headroom amplification to rich tube saturation, giving microphones, instruments and line-level sources unmistakable analogue character.

High gain with vintage character

Each channel uses a handwired circuit with custom CineMag transformers and three tubes. Engaging High Gain adds an extra 20 dB, taking available gain up to 90 dB — especially useful with low-output dynamic and ribbon microphones.

The WA-MPX is suited to tracking vocals, acoustic and electric instruments, ribbon microphones and DI sources, while its saturation and filtering controls also make it useful for adding colour to previously recorded tracks.

Delivery Exclusions

PLEASE NOTE:

Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.

We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)

If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:

Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.

Please be assured that we only request an additional freight contribution in exceptional circumstances where the courier cost is substantially higher than normal. Our goal is always to deliver your order at the advertised price whenever possible.
