The Ortofon VNL ON SH4 Headshell Premounted combines a DJ cartridge with the SH-4 headshell, creating a ready-to-mount solution for turntable setups. Therefore, DJs can install the premounted assembly quickly while maintaining connection and cartridge positioning during performance. Ortofon designed the VNL specifically for demanding DJ applications, including traditional vinyl playback and DVS systems. Its spherical diamond stylus handles demanding grooves effectively, while the cartridge design supports consistent tracking during scratching and back-cueing. Consequently, performers can maintain confident groove contact during energetic routines without unnecessarily increasing record wear. The SH-4 headshell adds a sturdy, rigid platform with quality tonearm terminal connections for dependable integration. Its universal mount supports compatibility with a wide range of S-shaped tonearms, making the Ortofon VNL ON SH4 Headshell Premounted suitable for DJs managing multiple turntable configurations. Additionally, the factory-mounted cartridge simplifies installation because the VNL arrives already secured to the black SH-4 headshell. The VNL delivers 6 mV output, 90 µm tracking ability, and 20 dB channel separation for balanced DJ performance. Its aluminium cantilever and spherical R18 µm stylus provide the physical foundation for dependable groove tracking during demanding sessions. Furthermore, DJs can choose between three interchangeable VNL styli, each offering a different suspension feel and compliance. The VNL I uses a flexible 16 µm/mN suspension, while VNL II provides a rigid 15 µm/mN response. Meanwhile, VNL III offers a firm 14 µm/mN suspension for another performance preference. Ortofon also uses ultrasonic welding and robotic stylus assembly to reinforce component consistency and manufacturing precision. With a recommended tracking force of 4 g, the VNL Premounted provides a focused solution for DJs who demand practical compatibility, strong tracking performance, and straightforward installation.

Delivery Exclusions

PLEASE NOTE:

Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.

We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)

If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:

Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.

Please be assured that we only request an additional freight contribution in exceptional circumstances where the courier cost is substantially higher than normal. Our goal is always to deliver your order at the advertised price whenever possible.

If you’re unsure whether an item may be affected, you’re welcome to contact us before placing your order and we’ll gladly provide a delivery estimate.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support!
