The Ortofon VNL TRIX ON SH2 Black Universal Headshell Premounted combines powerful output, dependable tracking, and practical installation for DJs demanding consistent vinyl performance. Factory mounting places the cartridge securely on the SH-2 Black universal headshell, creating a ready-to-play solution for compatible turntables. Consequently, DJs can spend less time mounting components and more time preparing records, transitions, scratches, and demanding performances. The Ortofon VNL TRIX ON SH2 Black Universal Headshell Premounted uses a spherical diamond stylus with an R 18 μm tip radius, delivering dependable groove contact during intensive DJ techniques. Its rigid aluminium cantilever supports the stylus, while Ortofon’s exclusive suspension maintains controlled movement when DJs perform scratching, back-cueing, and other demanding techniques. Furthermore, 100 μm tracking ability helps the stylus remain securely within the groove during energetic performances. A substantial 10 mV output provides strong signal levels for DJ systems, while 22 dB channel separation supports clear stereo reproduction across performances. Meanwhile, the cartridge covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz with a ±3 dB frequency response, supporting broad musical playback. The quad-coil system and OFC coil wire further contribute to the cartridge’s specified electrical performance and strong output characteristics. The fluorescent white stylus glows under ultraviolet light, making the tip easier to identify during darker booth conditions and stage environments. Therefore, DJs can locate the stylus quickly while cueing records, beatmatching tracks, or performing fast back-cues during demanding sets. The black cartridge body and white stylus also create clear visual contrast for practical identification. Finally, the SH-2 Black headshell provides a universal bayonet connection for compatible S-shaped or J-shaped tonearms with standard SME mounts. The supplied Torx T8 mounting screws provide secure installation, making this premounted combination practical for demanding DJ setups. Its interchangeable VNL stylus design also allows DJs to replace the stylus when required.

Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.
We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)
If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:
- Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
- Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
- Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.
