Product Description

The matte black C636 Master Reference Condenser Vocal Microphone from AKG is an evolved C535 microphone updated for today’s rigorous requirements for live performances. It adds improvements for handling noise, pop and feedback rejection, which can be used for live performances, live events, demanding speech and presentation applications.

Featuring a cardioid polar pattern and 48V phantom power, the mic is offered with a pure-studio sound, enclosed in a worry-free durable housing. Studio mics are usually too sensitive to bring on the stage, but the C636 features a double-shock suspension system that reduces handling noise. The capsule sits on a rubber bearing, eliminating any structure-based noise. An adjustable balancing network cancels vibrations over a wide frequency range.

Furthermore, a multi-layer protection system provides singers with clear, plosive-free vocal performances. It consists of the grille, a foam layer behind the grille and a magnetically attached computer-modeled mesh layer on top of the capsule. Built with rugged zinc alloy construction and a spring steel grille, the C636 stands up to the most demanding tour schedules.

By keeping the C535 sound untouched, the C636 captures your sound unfiltered and uncompressed.
The uniform cardioid polar pattern throughout the entire frequency spectrum combined with a suspension and grille essentially eliminates feedback for the capsule.
Highly absorbent rubber and an adjustable balancing network cancels vibrations over a wide frequency range, reducing unwanted handling noise.
Unique 3-layer protection system prevents unwanted pop noises-providing singers with a clear, plosive-free vocal performance.
The robust zinc-alloy housing with a spring-steel grille and 24-carat gold-plated capsule, the C636 is extremely rugged and durable enough to last a lifetime of performances.
For live performances, live events, demanding speech, and presentation applications.
