In live situations, the SPL-5 mk2 can be used to monitor sound pressure levels. If necessary, the SPL5MK2 can switch off the mains power to the stage equipment. The band can be warned in advance by means of a lamp.
In a non-live situation—where music is played through the connected PA system—the SPL-5mk2 is connected between the mixing console and the power amplifiers. The measured microphone level is used to determine the output attenuation.
A new feature of the SPL-5mk2 is the ability to store sound pressure information in its internal memory. The data is retained for a period of two months. In addition to being a limiter, the SPL-5mk2 is therefore also a decibel logger. Using the PC software, the data can be read from the limiter. The limiter is configured using the same software. Before changes can be made to the system, the software must be registered. This makes it impossible for unauthorized persons to modify the system.
With this software, it is also possible to control and read the limiter over a computer network, and even over the Internet.

PLEASE NOTE:

Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.

We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)

If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:

Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.

Please be assured that we only request an additional freight contribution in exceptional circumstances where the courier cost is substantially higher than normal. Our goal is always to deliver your order at the advertised price whenever possible.
