The DT 880 Edition sounds very neutral and relaxed. The bass reproduction penetrates very deeply, but is not overstated. This feature is particularly appealing to lovers of jazz and classical music because it gives the headphones a really transparent sound and makes the individual components of the music clearly audible. Thanks to its semi-open design, the DT 880 Edition allows some ambient noise to penetrate and escape, but attenuates it somewhat stronger than in the case of a fully open headphone such as the DT990

The improved systems of the legendary DT 880 now offer a high quality headphone with excellent analytical properties, especially for classical music. The DT 880 reproduces an amazing sound spectrum, with clean, clear detail from the deepest bass to the highest highs. The highs are crystal-clear without being unpleasant, impressive even at low levels. The neutral balanced mids are analytical and strong, without being predominant. The DT 880’s bass is voluminous without being too obtrusive. The single-sided cable, the soft ear pads and the padded headband make the DT 880 extra-comfortable for extended listening sessions. PLEASE NOTE:

Some products are exceptionally large, heavy or bulky and require specialist freight services. This typically includes items such as large PA speakers, dual 15″ speaker cabinets, dual 18″ subwoofers, flight cases and other oversized or very heavy equipment.

We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible and, in most cases, delivery is completely covered by our standard shipping rates. However, for certain oversized items being delivered to regional or outlying areas, the actual courier cost can be significantly higher than standard deliveries. This is also owing to factors completely outside of our control (petrol costs and rising costs of delivery by courier partners)

If this applies to your order, we will always contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options. These may include:

Proceeding with a small additional freight contribution.
Collecting the order from one of our suppliers or a nearby courier depot where available.
Cancelling the order for a full refund if a suitable solution cannot be reached.

Please be assured that we only request an additional freight contribution in exceptional circumstances where the courier cost is substantially higher than normal. Our goal is always to deliver your order at the advertised price whenever possible.
